LCSC's Production of “Carrie the Musical” Will Open on Thursday

LEWISTON, ID - Lewis-Clark State College's production of “Carrie the Musical” will open on Thursday at the LCSC Silverthorne Theatre beginning at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $10, while seniors and military personnel are $7. LCSC students and alumni are free.

From LCSC:
Shows run Oct. 19-21 and Oct. 25-28 at 7:30 p.m. with a special matinee at 2 p.m. on Oct. 22.

The production features a collaborative cast from LCSC, the University of Idaho, and the Lewis-Clark Valley community.

ID State Dept. of Education is Now Accepting Holiday Card Contest Submissions

BOISE, ID - The Idaho State Department of Education is now accepting Holiday Card Contest submissions for students in grades kindergarten through 6th grades. There will be winning entries from each grade level published on the State Department of Education website.

4th - 12th Grade Students are Invited to Take Part in an "Letters About Literature" Contest

OLYMPIA, WA - Washington State students in grades 4th through 12th are invited to take part in an annual national "Letters About Literature" contest in which they write about a favorite or influential book. Students are asked to write letters to their favorite authors, living or dead, and explain how a particular book by the author changed their view of the world or themselves.

Youth Pheasant Hunting Opportunities

LEWISTON, ID - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is working with an area landowner and the Game Bird Foundation to provide youth pheasant hunting opportunities for ages 17-years-old and younger. The youth must have a valid hunting license or passport, and be accompanied by an adult who is 18-years-old or older and who possesses a valid hunting license.

Fromt the IDFG:
The mentor may also hunt. Pheasant season is open until December 31st. The number of youth hunters is limited to 5 per day.

Business Expo & Career Fair Today

LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis Clark Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business Expo and Career Fair today at the Williams Conference Center at Lewis-Clark State College from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The focus of this fair is to provide opportunities to area students and the public looking for potential employment openings, internships, or volunteer opportunities. Free lunch will be provided to the first 200 participants.
