LEWISTON, ID – The intersection at the bottom of 21st Street is going to be mostly closed all spring, summer, and part of fall.  The Idaho Transportation Department says the Intersection of 21st Street and Main Street will be undergoing phased construction starting in March and lasting through October.

OLYMPIA, WA – Four Washington Republicans are trying to get agricultural producers relief from the growing list of “green” laws in the state.  House Bill 1985 would change laws regulating greenhouse gas emissions.  It would put producers of agricultural commodities and food products on a level playing field with those in other states.

NEZ PERCE COUNTY, ID – The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office is sending out a reminder to know where you are if you’re headed out of town.  Two people were missing yesterday in the Waha area.

Just after 9:00 pm yesterday, the Sheriff’s Office got a call from someone saying a co-worker had just texted with the information that he was stuck on the side of the road on Rosenkrantz Road near Waha Road.  A deputy responded to that area, but couldn’t find anyone.

They’re registering kids at the Red Lion Inn from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm today.

BOLO - LEWISTON, ID - A good citizen wants to find the owner of two rings.  She bought a clay pot at the Idaho Youth Ranch Thift Store in Lewiston, and found two suprises inside.  She had the rings confirmed to be 10k gold at the Diamond Shop, so she knows they're of value to someone.

1 Foot of Snow In Pullman Possible By Tomorrow Night

LEWISTON, ID – Yesterday’s Winter Storm Watch has turned into a Warning.  The L-C Valley is expected to get one to three inches of snow tonight.

The National Weather Service’s warning begins at 1:00 this afternoon and continues until 4:00 tomorrow afternoon.  It brings with it light winds and  a low temperature of 29 degrees.

LEWISTON, ID – The LC Valley could get three to five inches of snow tomorrow night.  The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Lewiston area including Pomeroy, Lapwai, Peck, Gifford, and Culdesac.

Higher Tax On Opioid Medications Under New Bill

OLYMPIA, WA – A Washington State Senator wants to increase the cost of certain prescription medications .  Senator Karen Keiser of Kent, WA proposed Senate Bill 5940 that increases the tax pharmacies must pay on opioid medications.  Common painkillers like hydrocodone, oxycodone, and codeine would become more expensive under the bill. 

Lenore Man Allegedly Tied To FBI Shooting In Court

LENORE, ID – The US Attorney’s Office has released the information that Manuel Villalobos, III was indicted last week for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.  Last week FBI agents served a search warrant at a home in Lenore.  During the process, one FBI member was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. 

Uniontown Feed Supports Community Building

UNIONTOWN, WA – The Uniontown Sausage Feed is coming up.  The 66th annual event offers all you can eat sausage for seven hours.  They will also have a beer garden.  It’s at the Community Building in Uniontown Sunday, March 3rd.  It starts at 10:00 am and runs until 5:00 pm.  Adults are $13, kids 6-12 are $9, and kids under 6 are just $2.

ID Bill Would Ban Motorcycle Profiling

BOISE, ID – A southern Idaho Senator wants to make sure law enforcement officers don’t target motorcycle riders.  Senator Lee Heider (R) submitted Senate Bill 1109 that is short and to the point.  It’s 15 lines long and would make it illegal for a law enforcement agent or agency to engage in motorcycle profiling.

KENDRICK, ID – If you’re craving sausage and community spirit, you’ll want to eat some sausage in Kendrick next Saturday.  The J-K Ambulance Sausage Feed & Auction is coming up.  The proceeds fund training and equipment for the volunteers who respond to medical emergencies in the community.
