Idaho's October Unemployment Rate is up to 2.9%

BOISE, ID - Idaho's October unemployment rate is up to 2.9% according to the Idaho Department of Labor.

From the IDL:
While October’s one-tenth of a percentage point increase in unemployment was the first increase in eight years, the addition of 4,850 people to the labor force was one of the largest monthly increases on record and helped move the state’s labor force participation rate up to 63.5 percent.

WDFW is Opening Lower Snake River for Retention of Hatchery Steelhead

OLYMPIA, WA - The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife is opening the lower Snake River to retention of hatchery steelhead measuring under 28 inches in length. This is in effect from tomorrow until further notice.

From The WDFW:
Snake River from the mouth of the river (Burbank to Pasco railroad bridge at Snake River mile 1.25) to the Washington/Idaho state line, at Clarkston Wash.: Daily limit of 2 hatchery steelhead; release all steelhead 28 inches or greater in length.

Public Tours of the All Saints Catholic School Campus on Sunday

PULLMAN, WA - Washington State University music director Greg Yasinitsky has been nominated for Pulitzer Prize in music for his Jazz Concerto for Piano and Orchestra.

The composition was premiered in January 2017 by the Baton Rouge Symphony, conducted by Timothy Muffitt with soloist Willis Delony, the Virginia Martin Howard Professor of Piano and professor of jazz studies at Louisiana State University.
