Cascade Collegiate Conference Votes to Delay Start of Fall Sports

The Cascade Collegiate Conference’s Council of Presidents voted to delay the start of all conference fall sports with the hopes of competing later in the 2020-21 school year, league officials announced on Friday. In addition, all outside competition involving conference schools is suspended until at least Nov. 1 and will be re-evaluated at that time.

Rock Removal Will Begin Monday to Reopen US-95 at the Slide South of Riggins

RIGGINS—On Monday crews are expected to start removing rocks at the base of the slide on US-95 south of Riggins. The temporary road built around the base has been blocked by massive boulders since the slope failed for a second time last week but may be open in time for next weekend.

The American Association of State Troopers (AAST) is conducting their national "Best Looking Cruiser" contest for the seventh time. The Nebraska State Patrol cruiser was voted the “2019 Best Looking Cruiser.” The contest began a friendly competition between state agencies as a fun way to allow community support and interaction with law enforcement in a positive manner.
