Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests Fire Update

Fire Update | Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests

BrittanyJ 331

USDA Forest Service officials are encouraging visitors to the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests this Labor Day weekend to be extra cautious with campfires and any outdoor activity that can cause a spark. Remember to never leave a campfire unattended; drown and stir your campfire until it is cool. Remember, if it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to leave. The forecast for the holiday weekend is expected to be hot, dry and windy, which heightens fire conditions. While there are currently no campfire restrictions on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, fire danger is High or Very High across the forests. Contact your local ranger station or visit for updates and information before your visit to the forest.
