OLYMPIA, WA – Right now the air quality in Washington is good, but the Department of Health is urging everyone to get ready for the oncoming smoky days of summer.  Poor air quality is becoming more common in the hotter, drier months from large wildfires.

Allegedly Killed Someone In Utah and Headed North

CASSIA COUNTY, ID – The Idaho State Police would like you to keep your eyes peeled for Jonathan Llana.  He allegedly shot and killed someone in Utah yesterday, then fled north into Idaho.  He was stopped by Cassia County Deputies and the ISP, but escaped and is on the run.

LEWISTON, ID – If you’re headed to the NAIA World Series, taken an umbrella.  There’s a chance of more thunderstorms this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook. Friday there’s a 30% chance of storms with heavy rains during the day decreasing at night.

NEZ PERCE COUNTY, ID – Idaho voters go to the polls in many local counties today.  If you are new to Idaho and haven’t registered yet, you can still vote.  People who have moved to Idaho, to a different home within Idaho, or changed their names will need to register to vote.  You’ll need to take a photo ID and a document that shows your name and address to your designated polling location.

LEWISTON, ID – This coming weekend starts the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer.  That’s the time period during which people, especially teens, are most at risk of dying in a vehicle collision.  The Idaho Transportation Department’s getting a jump-start on things by reminding drivers to buckle up.
