CLARKSTON, WA – Wednesday is Library Giving Day.  Community members are getting behind the effort to raise funds for the activities at the Asotin County Library.  All day you’ll have the chance to donate to the library online at or in-person at the downtown or Heights branches.

WA Drought Declaration

OLYMPIA, WA – Governor Jay Inslee signed a drought declaration yesterday for three Washington counties.  Methow and Okanagan Counties are in the affected area, as is the upper area of Yakima County.  Many of the high-value crops for the state, like apples, wine grapes, and pears are grown in those areas.

LAPWAI, ID – Nez Perce Tribal Police found a dog.  It was on Over The Hill Drive south of Lapwai.  It has a collar, but no tags.  They say it’s very nice.  If you know to whom it belongs, it’s now at the Lewis Clark Animal Shelter.

O Negative Blood Badly Needed

CLARKSTON, WA – The Red Cross hopes Washingtonians will roll up a sleeve.  They badly need type O negative right now, but welcome donations of all types.

An opportunity to donate blood is coming up in Clarkston on Friday.  From 9:00 am until 3:00 pm, you can donate at the Asotin County Library at 5th and Sycamore Streets.
