KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Both Lewis-Clark State Cross Country teams made their triumphant returns to the national polls after strong starts to the delayed season. The NAIA poll was suspended in November due to a lack of teams running, but with the majority of the NAIA in action now, the poll resumed on Thursday with the men ranked No. 6, and the women No. 17.

PULLMAN, WA - Just as things appeared to be calming down with regards to the weather, the Palouse is expecting another 3-4 inches of snow beginning this afternoon/evening, into tomorrow. Plow crews will once again be at the ready, and Pullman's Police Department is once again reminding residents to stay home if possible.

Capitol Police Investigating Russ Fulcher for Shoving Officer

BOISE, ID - Idaho Congressman Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho) is one of two United States representatives being investigated by U.S. Capitol Police. The initial report came from Huffington Post reporter Matt Fuller, who alleges Fulcher forcefully shoved a U.S. Capitol policewoman inside the Capitol, less than a week after the January 6 protests broke into the Capitol grounds.

Perseverance Rover Set to Land on Mars Soon

Hundreds of critical events must execute perfectly and exactly on time for the Rover to land safely.

With roughly 2.4 million miles (3.9 million kilometers) left to travel in space, NASA's Mars 2020 Perseverance rover is set to land the agency's fifth rover on the Red Planet. Engineers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California have confirmed that all systems are a go and the craft is on target to touch down in the Jezero Crater at around 3:55 PM EST (12:55 PM PST) on February 18, 2021.

Caldwell Man Sentenced to More Than 20 Years in Federal Prison for Drug Distribution

BOISE - Roberto Manuel Rojas, 31, of Caldwell, Idaho, was sentenced in U.S. District Court to 262 months in federal prison for distribution of methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Bart M. Davis announced today. Chief U.S. District Judge David C. Nye also ordered Rojas serve ten years of supervised release following his prison sentence. Rojas pleaded guilty to the charge on September 2, 2020.

On the third anniversary of the Parkland School shooting, President Joe Biden pointed to the  continuing “epidemic of gun violence” and calling on Congress to pass strict “commonsense gun law reforms,” including a ban on "assault weapons."
