OLYMPIA, WA --- The Washington State Department of Commerce today announced $2.24 million in capital grants to three behavioral health care providers across the state. Funding is provided through an innovative partnership with Premera Blue Cross – the first of its kind in Washington state - and will place needed capacity for health crisis stabilization care into rural communities.

LEWISTON, ID - At 10:26 pm Sunday night, Lewiston Fire was dispatched to the Super 8 Motel at 3120 North-South Highway for a report of a fire on the outside of the building. First arriving units found people exiting the building and fire that had burned up the outside of the building and had entered the attic space.

SALEM, Ore. – The double-digit scoring streak may have been snapped, but the streak of victories grew to 21 in the 8-4 victory over the Corban University Warriors on Sunday. Seventh-ranked LC State completed the season sweep of Corban and improved to 30-2 on the season and 23-1 in Cascade Conference play behind a home run by Dillon Plew and a strong performance on the mound by starter Alec Holmes.

“We came out a bit flat offensively today,” Head Coach Jake Taylor said. “Once again though, our offense produced enough timely hits.”

Pullman, WA- On 04-10-21 Whitman County Deputies, Washington State Patrol, Fire District 12, and Pullman Fire responded to a 3 car injury collision on SR195 near MP14, approximately 8 miles south of Pullman. Crews arrived on scene and battled winter weather tending to occupants of the involved vehicles. 1 person had to be extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life.

SALEM, Ore. – The No. 7 LC State Warriors claimed the first Cascade Conference title in program history on Saturday after a sweep of Corban. This is the first season the Cascade has sponsored baseball officially, having retired the NAIA West moniker after the 2020 season. The doubleheader featured drastically different games, with LC taking game 1 19-14 in 10 innings, then game 2 by a final of 12-0 in eight innings.

LC utilized an eight-run eighth inning to overcome a seven-run deficit before heading into extra innings in the first game of the day.

Officers Respond to Shooting in Lapwai

Lapwai, Idaho- April 9, 2021, at approximately 10:57 p.m. a call was placed to Whitcom Dispatch. The report was that of a shooting on South Main Street in Lapwai. Officers responded to the call, taking one suspect into custody. One victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No additional parties were involved.

Nez Perce County, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Idaho State Police, and Nez Perce Tribal Police responded to the call. The case is currently under investigation; no additional information is available at this time.

Idaho State Police Investigate Injury Crash Outside of Moscow

MOSCOW, ID - On April 9th, 2021, at 4:45 am, the Idaho State Police responded to a single-vehicle injury crash on SH8 at milepost 1, Pullman Road, in Moscow, Idaho. The vehicle lost control for unknown reasons and crashed. Statements provided from witnesses state the driver was driving erratically prior to the crash. The vehicle had two occupants who were both transported by EMS to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow. The driver of the vehicle was in critical condition and was transported by air ambulance to Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. Both occupants were wearing safety restraints. The investigation is ongoing.
