WHITEFISH, Montana – A career-high 21 points in Thursday’s upset victory over No. 18 MSU-Northern, along with 18 more in the win over Providence, secured Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for junior Jansen Edmiston. The Hermiston, Ore. native helped the No. 21 Warriors to a pair of big victories over the weekend, increasing the winning streak to six games.

LEWISTON, Idaho – Being down at the half did not phase the No. 12 Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball in its come from behind 78-71 victory over Rocky Mountain College (6-11, 1-7). With the win, LC State is now 19-1 overall and 7-1 in Frontier Conference play with a 19-game winning streak in the Activity Center.

Warrior Track and Field Hits Four National Qualifying Marks at Idaho Open

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State Track and Field team was busy on Thursday at the Idaho Open when the Warriors clinched four national qualifying marks. Cole Olsen started the day with a win in the 5,000 meters, Clayton VanDyke earned qualifying marks in two events, and Madi Carson set up her return to the national stage in the pole vault.

Update on Response to 2019 Novel Coronavirus in Washington State

OLYMPIA – Since announcing a case of 2019 novel coronavirus in Snohomish County, Wash., the state Department of Health (DOH) and Snohomish Health District have been working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on interviewing the patient and beginning a contact investigation. This includes establishing a detailed travel history with the patient and identifying close contacts who may have experienced some level of exposure.

ISP Investigates Possible Murder Suicide in the Boise Area

At approximately 12:17 AM on 1/21/20, ISP Troopers responded to assist Boise County Deputies with a disturbance and a shots fired call at a residence near Garden Valley. Additional information obtained after the original call reported a domestic dispute occurred between a mother and son who lived at the residence and a gun had been fired more than once.  

Commission to Discuss Whale Entanglements, Willapa Bay and Puget Sound Salmon Management at January Meeting

OLYMPIA – The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will consider ways to reduce the risk of whale entanglements at its January meeting, as well as hear updates on forest restoration projects, Willapa Bay salmon policy, and a long-term plan for Puget Sound Chinook salmon management.
