Washington state receives $900K SBA grant to boost small business exports

OLYMPIA, WA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded the Washington State Department of Commerce an eighth year of funding to help state small businesses grow through exporting. The $900,000 grant, part of the SBA’s State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), is the highest and maximum amount awarded from a total $18 million to 41 states.

Bus Crash IN Manzanita Loaded With Army National Guard Members

MANZANITA, OR - On Monday at approximately 7:00 AM, Oregon State Police (OSP) and emergency personnel responded to a non-injury bus crash on US Hwy 101 in Manzanita. The bus was occupied by 46 Army National Guard members from the HHC 1-186 IN from Medford. The Tillamook County District Attorney’s Office will review the case for charges of Driving under the Influence and 46 counts of Reckless Endangering against the driver.

54 Year Old Clarkston Man Accidentally Drowns

On 09-13-19 at approximately 1307 hours, Asotin County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a male subject in the Snake River near Mulberry Beach just south of Asotin. The subject appeared to be struggling in the river and further reports from Whitcom stated that the male was frantically waving his arms. It was reported that a male subject who was driving by had stopped and was now in the water in an effort to help the victim.
