The Palouse RTPO invites the communities in the counties of Whitman, Garfield, Columbia, Asotin and adjacent counties, to participate in two virtual public meetings of the Palouse’s Regionwide Active Transportation Plan. The Active Transportation Plan is using an active modes of travel such as walking, biking, or skateboarding. Almost everyone uses active transportation at some point during a trip, whether walking to a bus stop, bicycling to work, or rolling home from school.

If you see two women running at odd hours of the night through Lewiston this Friday and Saturday its Darrah McCall and Jamie Coursey completing the "Yeti Ultra 24 Hour Challenge". In the Yeti Ultra 24 Hour Challenge, participants will run 8.35 miles every 4 hours for 24 hours for a total of 6 runs and 50 miles.

Homecoming is one of the institution's longest running traditions and 2020 will mark its 112th year. It is a time when we come together as a community to celebrate being Vandals and, even though we are in a time of uncertainty, the Vandal Family is strong and resilient. Homecoming will look different this year, but the week-long festivities will still feature student competitions, a campus office decorating competition, homecoming royalty selection, community service, downtown decorating and a “Walk & Wave” parade, all of which will culminate in the Fireworks Extravaganza!
