Much like many of you, The Idaho Foodbank has never experienced a crisis like the one they’re facing right now. With every layoff, business closing and new unknown brought on by the Coronavirus more people are needing help. If you, a loved one or a neighbor needs help, the Idaho Foodbank, along with volunteers will be distributing food in Moscow and Lewiston on July 8th and 17th.

LEWISTON, IDAHO – Public Health – Idaho North Central District (PH-INCD) is reporting widespread community transmission throughout the District. Widespread community transmission means at least one person has been infected with the virus and through contact tracing we are unable to determine how or where they became infected. The individuals did not travel and had no known contact with another person with COVID-19. PH-INCD urges all residents to assume the virus could be anywhere in our communities.

Many urban dwellers will head to their vacation homes and cabins this holiday weekend in the more rural counties in Idaho. They are likely to find a 2020 Census questionnaire packet at their doors even if they already responded from their primary residences.

Idaho Gas Prices Kick Off 4th Of July Travel With A Bang

Idaho families may face a few challenges getting together for food and fireworks this 4th of July weekend, but high gas prices won’t be among them.  AAA says that, on average, Gem State pump prices for regular fuel are 65 cents cheaper today than this time last year – a welcome sight given the number of vehicles expected to hit the road this summer.

City of Clarkston Paving Rescheduled Due to Weather

As part of the City of Clarkston 2020 Street Maintenance Project, the following are dates and locations of street and alley paving activities.   The areas will be signed for “No Parking” for the day of scheduled work.  We ask residents along these streets to refrain from parking in the street and move any RV’s trailers, or boats from the street.  Please call Kevin Poole, Public Works Director if you have any questions.  The Contractor, Poe Asphalt Paving, Inc. will have traffic control flaggers and measures in place at each paving location.
