Additional Cougar Sightings Reported in Moscow

(Moscow, Idaho) -- The Moscow Police Department has received additional reports from citizens who have spotted a cougar within the City of Moscow. Two sightings occurred on the 400 block of N. Lincoln St. at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 11. An additional sighting was reported by a citizen walking on the path behind Good Samaritan Village at 7:52 a.m. on June 12.

Boise, Idaho – The Governor’s Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee (CFAC) approved today the allocation of up to $200 million for a new program that leverages federal coronavirus relief funds to cover local public safety personnel salaries and gives cities and counties the opportunity to pass on the savings to property taxpayers.

Failure of patrons to social distance may result in the Moscow Farmers Market being shut down for the 2020 season. 

Update | Car Accident on Bryden Canyon Rd Thursday Evening

On June 11th, 2020, at approximately 4:30pm, Lewiston Police were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the bottom of Bryden Canyon Road. Officers were advised that one of the driver's was unconscious and pinned in the vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found a male trapped inside a 2010 Lincoln MKZ car. The other vehicle involved was a 2003 International Truck hauling asphalt and pulling a trailer with a steam roller on it. The Lewiston Fire Department responded to extricate the driver of the Lincoln, who was then taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the International truck was uninjured.
