ID Taxes Collected More Than Expected

$100.7 Million More Than Forecast

BOISE, ID – The State of Idaho collected more than expected in taxes the fiscal year that just ended.  Growth in the gen state was beyond predictions, so that left $100.7 million more in revenue than anticipated.  The Division of Financial Management expected a 5.3% growth, but actual figures show an 8.2% growth in tax receipts.

CLARKSTON, WA – The plan to shut down the Red Wolf Bridge this summer for more work has been pushed to September.  The Washington State Department of Transportation shut down the bridge this spring to do some repair and resurfacing work.

Burn Ban In Effect

ASOTIN COUNTY, WA – Starting this morning, nearly all types of burning are banned in Asotin County.  The heat and dry conditions in the county make it dangerous to have any open flame.  Commissioners met at 9:00 am at their regular meeting and took action on an emergency suspension of burning in unincorporated areas of Asotin County.
