31st Annual Cat-FM Home & Garden Show & Sale

LEWISTON, ID - The 31st annual Cat-FM Home & Garden Show and Sale is this Friday through Sunday. Admission is $3 at the door or you can get in for free with a discount coupon and two cans of food.

Discount coupons can be found at a variety of stores around town, or you can print one off on Dailyfly.com. Food donations will be split between Community Action Partnership Food bank and Asotin County Food Bank.

Pollock, Idaho Residents Arrested For Allegedly Burglarizing Hoots Cafe in White Bird

WHITE BIRD, ID - Two Pollock, Idaho residents who allegedly burglarized Hoots Cafe in White Bird last month were arrested on March 4th in Oregon on multiple charges.  The Idaho County Sheriff's Office says staff from the cafe reported that they had been burglarized overnight on February 23rd.  Cash and business checks were taken during the incident, officials say.

BOISE, ID - Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for January was 3% - the fifth consecutive month at this rate following the benchmarking of 2017 estimates.  The Idaho Department of Labor says seasonally adjusted month over month, Idaho’s total nonfarm payroll jobs increased by 500 in January to 728,600.

Montana Man Arrested For Grand Theft Auto, Attempted Escape, & Other Charges

OROFINO, ID - A 32-year-old Arlee, Montana man was arrested Saturday afternoon after he reportedly stole a pickup near Headquarters.  The Clearwater County Sheriff's Office says Deputies responded to a report of a male subject, later identified as Shane Espinoza, acting strangely in a Pierce business at about 3:50 p.m.

41st Annual Washington State - Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp

OLYMPIA, WA - Applications are currently being accepted for the 41st Annual Washington State - Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp. It is available to high school juniors and seniors with an interest in law enforcement as a career. Students will spend a week this summer learning about the roles and job opportunities within law enforcement.

WSU Scientists Awarded $1 million From the W.M. Keck Foundation

PULLMAN, WA - Washington State University scientists have been awarded $1 million from the W.M. Keck Foundation. They will use this money to develop molecular machines that self-replicate, producing pounds of 100-percent pure material.

From WSU:
Their research is the first step towards a new paradigm in manufacturing where everything from smartphones to life-saving cancer drugs could be designed one atom at a time to exact specifications and then grown out of a vat.
