COLFAX, WA – A trip to western Washington is a slick one today.  The Washington Department of Transportation reports Highway 26 running from Colfax to Vantage is covered with compact snow and ice.  Interstate 90 from Vantage to Ellensburg has snow and ice on the road with drifting snow in places. 

LEWISTON, ID – Roads in the inland northwest are very slick this morning.  This SUV flipped last night.  There’s no word yet from the Lewiston Police Department on what happened, but the tracks look like it drifted off Snake River Avenue, hit the railroad tracks and flipped, coming to rest on its side.

LEWISTON, ID – If you’ve ever considered donating to a food bank, now is the time.  The Community Action Food Bank’s shelves are getting bare.  A representative says the demand for help is up and the supply of donations is down.  He says this is generally a slow time of the year for food drives, so they’re getting hit hard.

NEZ PERCE COUNTY, ID – Deputies say a man who sped away from them and caused a short standoff Saturday night was booked for multiple crimes.  That’s when they found that he was using a false identity, adding another potential crime to the list.

JULIAETTA, ID - A ranch & family dog has gone missing.  Ruger was last seen February 17 near mile post 5 on Highway 3.  He's wearing an older light-blue collar.  A neighbor said a woman in an SUV picked him up and then asked if Ruger belonged to the neighbor.

LEWISTON, ID – A Spokane man is behind bars in Lewiston for methamphetamine trafficking.  Yesterday at about 6:20 pm, a Lewiston Police Officer stopped a car for speeding on Main Street.  During the stop, the department’s K-9 alerted to a drug odor.

LEWISTON, ID – There’s a chance for two to four inches of snow today in the LC Valley.  The National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 10:00 tonight.  This afternoon could bring winds of eight to 16 miles per hour and a high temperature of 30 degrees.  Tonight more snow is likely, but the Weather Service predicts only about an inch.

LEWISTON, ID – If you don’t have lunch plans, you can soup-port the local YWCA’s shelter by eating some soup from a hand-painted bowl.  The annual event is today, starting at 11:00 am.
