The Lewis-Clark Kennel Club has been around since 1947, they monitor legislation that effects animals and run a variety of classes about training and caring for dogs. The spring is a chance for members to show off a little. The American Kennel Club Dog Show is April 17th-20th at the Nez Perce County Fair Grounds.

During the spring runoff elders remember a small silver blue butterfly that would hatch in abundance near Lapwai. The lovely pollinator would hover over the water; drinking and rising, drinking and rising, for three days and then disappear. The name Lapwai is derived from the the Nez Perce word Leepleep Initpa and means Place of the Butterfly according to Ann McCormack Economic Development planner for the Nez Perce Tribe.

MOSCOW, Idaho – April 9, 2015 – The University of Idaho Library has designated Tuesday, April 21 as “Logging Day,” an exploration and celebration of the Northwest region’s logging culture. The event addresses an array of perspectives on logging culture, including gender, personal narrative and primary source research and application.

The Asotin County Fair is soon; main events start Friday April 24th. But if you are a horse fan, and who isn't, this is the weekend for you. The 4H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) kids have their horse show this Saturday and Sunday out at the fair grounds.

LEWISTON, IDAHO — April 9, 2015 — The Idaho State Tax Commission will open its Lewiston office to the public on Wednesday, April 15 to help taxpayers meet the income tax filing deadline. The office is located at 1118 F St. and is normally open only on the 20th day of each month.

The Lewiston School Board will meet Monday April 13th at 6:00pm. The board will consider signing a contract with LKV-RGU Architects. There are several items of new business including the purchase of technology equipment in Accordance with the districts technology plan, according to the released agenda. The meeting is in the Central Service Board Room, 3317 12th Street Lewiston.
