LEWISTON, ID – The Airport Authority Board meets today for a regular, monthly meeting.  Today will be the first meeting with (temporarily former) Board Member Chris Clemens as the Interim Airport Manager. 

Among other things, they’ll be discussing potential parking fees at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County airport and a social media policy.

LEWISTON, ID – Lewiston Police Officers are warning of a new phone scam.  Victims are getting calls from someone who claims to be from law enforcement out of the area.  The victim is advised that his or her information was used to rent a car and that the rental was full of stolen property or drugs.

ANATONE, WA – You don’t need a Discover Pass to visit a Washington State Park on New Year’s Day.  The state offers 12 free days every year and two fall in January.  New Year’s Day offers several “First Day Hikes” including one at Field’s Spring State Park south of Anatone.  The two-mile, moderate-difficulty hike takes you around the Corral Trail. 

LEWISTON, ID – A Lenore man is in jail after allegedly firing a shot from his vehicle into another vehicle he was chasing.  A press release from the Lewiston Police Department says they and Idaho State Police Troopers took Andrew Ingram into custody at his home at 11:00 today.  At roughly 8:50 this morning, dispatchers told a woman who had called 911 to drive to the LPD station downtown when she believed she was being followed and that someone had fired a gun at her vehicle near 13^th Street and 11^th Avenue. 

Bennett Lumber Products, Inc. is a family owned and operated sawmill with locations in Princeton, ID and Clarkston, WA.  We are seeking a full-time machinist for our Princeton, ID facility.  The successful applicant must be capable of precision machine work.  They must be able to interact with all departments to build new or replacement parts for the mill.  They must be able to operate shop equipment (lathes, horizontal and vertical CNC mils, drill press, band saws, cranes, etc.).  We prefer but don’t require sawmill experience.  CNC experience is required

Right now the rate employers pay is .94%.  That is dropping to .878%, a 6.6% decrease. 

BOISE, ID – There’s a new tax scam hitting Idaho residents.  The state Attorney General is sending out the warning after a Nampa woman contacted his office to verify a letter she received in the mail.  It claimed she owed $15,390 in state income taxes.

LEWISTON, ID – Windy conditions are headed our way to go with the wet weather we already have.  The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for much of eastern Washington and north and north-central Idaho.

LEWISTON, ID – Two Warriors-turned-firefighters are headed to the LCSC Hall of Fame. Engineer and Paramedic Zach Evangelho and Firefighter and Paramedic Kyle Greene have been selected as part of the LCSC 2007 National Champion Baseball team that is going to be inducted into the LCSC Athletic Hall of Fame.  Both men played Minor-League baseball before returning to Lewiston to raise their families.
