Crapo Announces Veterans Survey

BOISE—Idaho Senator Mike Crapo is launching his second statewide Veterans Survey today and is encouraging Idaho’s veterans to participate as he makes stops throughout southern Idaho as a part of his continued town meeting tour.  Last year, Crapo received feedback from more than 1,000 Idahoans about their experiences with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  Crapo says this year he hopes to double that number in an effort to hear from more veterans. 

Special Olympics Needs Coaches

Lewis Clark Special Olympics is looking for volunteer Softball and Bocce Coaches.  Season begins on July 28, 2015 and will last until September 19, 2015.  If you have never been a part of Special Olympics this is your opportunity to experience the joy and happiness that occurs when you are part of something really special and fun.  We practice twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings and competition is in Lewiston is scheduled for September 19th.  So if you are interested in joining our Lewis Clark Special Olympics family call Michelle at 208-746-1250 today.

(PRC).

Enjoy the nation’s holiday at Pioneer Park from 12-4PM on Saturday, July 4 with a day full of family activities including local food venders, entertainment, old-fashioned fire truck and stagecoach rides and children’s games and activities.   The Sun Festival Show and Shine will also be on display. The Lewiston Community Band will begin playing at 4:30PM with classic patriotic hits, sure to entertain the crowd. This event is free to all ages.

Nez Perce CountySmall Businesses Eligible for Disaster Relief

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Small, nonfarm businesses in 10 Oregon counties and neighboring counties in Idaho and Washington are now eligible to apply for low‑interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by the drought in the following primary counties that began April 28, 2015, announced Director Tanya N. Garfield of SBA’s Disaster Field Operations Center - West.
