LEWISTON, ID - UPDATE from LPD:
The Lewiston Police major collision investigation team will continue the investigation of the traffic collision at Levee Bypass and D Street. The driver of the 2012 Toyota Camry involved died just before 6 p.m. on May 19th after being transported to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center following the collision.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as 80 year old Clarkston resident Veronica Zeimantz. The passenger in the Toyota Camry was identified as 80 year old Clarkston resident Michael Zeimantz. The 2005 Sterling delivery truck was operated by 28 year old Clarkston resident Joshua Flerchinger. His passenger was 20 year old Lewiston resident Roman Riggs-Bay.
Two people were injured in a collision at the intersection of Levee Bypass Road and D Street at 2:37 p.m. this afternoon. The Lewiston Police Department says a 2012 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on D Street and was struck on the driver's side by a 2005 Sterling delivery truck that was hauling drywall. The 10-wheel truck had been traveling eastbound on Levee Bypass Road.
