Idaho to Receive FFY17 State Trade Expansion Program Grant Dollars

BOISE, ID - The State of Idaho has received a State Trade Expansion Program grant of $343,240 for Federal Fiscal Year 2017. Since the program’s inception in 2011, the state received STEP funding each year to make funds available to qualifying Idaho companies with the intent to export products internationally.

OLYMPIA, WA - The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's most popular hunting seasons will open October 14th.

"The harsh winter of 2016-17 appears to have taken a toll on some elk and deer populations—especially in parts of eastern Washington, still hunting prospects in many areas look promising as hunts get underway this fall, " WDFW deer and elk section manager. Jerry Nelson says.

Startup Washington 365 Program is Increasing Efforts to Support Entrepreneurs

OLYMPIA, WA - The Washington State Department of Commerce’s Startup Washington 365 program is increasing its efforts to support entrepreneurs in Asotin and Whitman counties through a relationship they are building with Inland Northwest Partners. This non-profit is currently recruiting a full-time program manager to lead and build services offered through the Startup Washington Center for Entrepreneurial Success to new businesses.

5th Annual Sport Leadership Lecture Series Begins Today at LCSC

LEWISTON, ID - The 5th annual Sport Leadership Lecture Series begins today at Lewis-Clark State College. There will be 17 presentations/panel discussions during this lecture series. This event is free and open to the public.

“Reclaim Revolution” Exhibit Opens Friday

LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts and History will open its “Reclaim Revolution” exhibit on Friday. This exhibit is part of Beautiful Downtown Lewiston’s Art Walk and will be on display until October 21st.

The exhibit features work from artists of various mediums, including reclaimed objects or works themed “Reclaimed, Remade or Inspired by Steam Powered Victorian Futurism.”

Pomeroy Ranger District Will Begin Implementing the Fall Prescribed Burn Plan Today

ANATONE, WA - Fire management officials on the Pomeroy Ranger District will begin implementing the fall prescribed burn plan today. This could impact camping and hunting opportunities in the region.

From the Umatilla National Forest:
The Pomeroy Ranger District’s upcoming prescribed burns consist of up to 12 burns, totaling approximately 400 acres. The burn units are located approximately 10 miles west of Anatone, WA primarily near Cloverland Sno-Park and Hogback Ridge.
