On August 3, 2020 the Sheriff's office received information that a male subject closely matching the description of the subject that had fled the scene of a stolen vehicle crashed in the Waha area was seen near Soldiers Meadows Road and Webb Ridge Road. 

The suspect is believed to be 49 year old Jerry Glass Jr.. Glass is a white male, 6' 2" tall and approximately 200 pounds. Glass is bald on the top of his head and was last seen wearing tan shorts and a short sleeve camo t-shirt. Glass is known to frequent the LC Valley and the Pullman, Spokane areas.  

If anyone sees anything suspicious in the Waha area or has any information regarding these cases please call the Nez Perce County Sheriff's Office 1-208-799-3131 ext 1.  The public is urged to not confront Jerry Glass but to notify law enforcement.

Injury Crash SH7 Near Ahsahka

On August 2nd 2020, approximately 1600 hours, ISP responded to a two vehicle serious injury crash that involved a pickup pulling a boat and a motorcycle with one rider at the intersection of SH7 and A Road in Ahsahka, Idaho.  The rider was transported to Clearwater Hospital in Orofino, Idaho, and then airlifted to St. Josephs Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho with serious and possibly life threatening injuries.  The occupants of the pickup were not injured.  The crash is still under investigation.

Idaho Highway 8 To Be Resurfaced Starting Tuesday

Idaho Highway 8 will be resurfaced from Bovill east toward Elk River over the next two months, with work set to begin Tuesday, August 4. Resurfacing seven miles of the highway from its intersection with Idaho Highway 3 and Ruby Creek will provide a smoother ride for drivers.

Crews will work 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Saturday. During working hours only, the highway will be reduced to one lane.

A nearby project to fill in cracks and resurface 13.5 miles of ID-9 between Harvard and Deary is expected to wrap up in mid-August.

(Lewiston, ID) - Fatal Motorcycle Collision

On 8/3/20, at about 1250 AM, Lewiston Police and Fire were dispatched to the intersection of Main St and 9th St for a motorcycle vs vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Patrick Dalton 38 of Lewiston, had been north bound on 9th St. Dalton failed to stop for the red light and ran into a 2017 Dodge pickup being driven by Christian Davis 28 of Pasco WA. Davis had been east bound on Main St. Dalton was transported by ambulance to St Joseph Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Davis was not injured.

We are asking a press release be issued for a vehicle that was found crashed on Zaza Rd in the Waha area, the vehicle was involved in a pursuit earlier todays date. It is possible that a subject is on foot in the area, as no one was located inside or around the vehicle. We want to remind everyone to please not pick up any hitch-hikers in the area, and to please call us if you see any strange individuals or notice anything unusual in the Waha area. Saturday Morning Assault and Stabbing Outside of Pullman

Colfax, WA- At approximately 2:20am on Saturday morning, law enforcement officers from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, Pullman Police Department and Washington State University Police Department responded to the report of an abduction and stabbing near the intersection of Whelan and Kitzmiller Roads.
