Investigation Continues Following Four Recent Bomb Threats at Orofino Jr-Sr High

OROFINO, ID - The Orofino Police Department continues to investigate several bomb threats at Orofino Junior-Senior High School on Monday and Tuesday.  There have been four bomb threats this school year and all of the threats consisted of words located in the rest rooms at the school.

ID Governor Otter is Seeking Nominations for the Idaho Medal of Achievement

BOISE, ID - Idaho Governor Butch Otter is seeking nominations for the Idaho Medal of Achievement.

“We are looking for individuals who have distinguished themselves through their civic virtue and brought great credit to Idaho,” Otter says.

The Idaho Medal of Achievement was created by Executive Order in November 2015 to recognize individual Idahoans for their “exceptional, meritorious, and inspirational” service to the people of Idaho. The advertising campaign includes radio and television public service announcements (PSA) located here, that the media is being asked to air and/or publish.

IDFG is Seeking Angler's Opinions

LEWISTON. ID - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game would like to remind interested anglers to take part in an online survey about fishing in Idaho. Comments on the survey will be accepted through Monday.

From the IDFG:
The survey, offered every five or six years, covers a variety of topics including how often people fish and their preferred fish species, what types of fishing regulations they support, and what important conservation priorities Fish and Game should pursue.

Hunter Found Deceased in Idaho County

WARREN, ID - A 65-year-old Warren man who had been reported missing after he failed to return home from a hunting trip was found deceased by his family.  The Idaho County Sheriff's Office says Ernest Wright's family and friends had searched throughout the night Friday and located him outside his vehicle on Forest Service Road 340, about three miles southeast of Warren Summit.

TSA has Implemented New Carry-On Security Screening Procedures

LEWISTON, ID - The Transportation Security Administration has implemented new carry-on baggage security screening procedures at the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport. The new procedures require travlers to place all electronics larger than a cell phone in bins for x-ray screening when going through the security checkpoint.
