GRANGEVILLE, ID / OROFINO, ID – The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for areas around Orofino and Grangeville.  The flood watch is for small creeks in the area and for the South Fork Clearwater River at Stites.

LEWISTON, ID – If you’re about to buy a ranch, or if you’re considering the idea, the University of Idaho Extension has a workshop coming up tomorrow that you’ll want to attend.

The program is called Rural Land Purchasing, and it’s designed to inform first-time buyers of rural property about what makes rural land buying more complex than the typical house in town.

CLARKSTON, WA – Wednesday is Library Giving Day.  Community members are getting behind the effort to raise funds for the activities at the Asotin County Library.  All day you’ll have the chance to donate to the library online at www.asotincountylibrary.org or in-person at the downtown or Heights branches.

WA Drought Declaration

2.5 Washington Counties

OLYMPIA, WA – Governor Jay Inslee signed a drought declaration yesterday for three Washington counties.  Methow and Okanagan Counties are in the affected area, as is the upper area of Yakima County.  Many of the high-value crops for the state, like apples, wine grapes, and pears are grown in those areas.

Over The Hill Drive

LAPWAI, ID – Nez Perce Tribal Police found a dog.  It was on Over The Hill Drive south of Lapwai.  It has a collar, but no tags.  They say it’s very nice.  If you know to whom it belongs, it’s now at the Lewis Clark Animal Shelter.
