Both Warrior Cross Country Teams Tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic – 12 Individuals Earn Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The Lewis-Clark State cross country program continues to earn honors for its accomplishments both on the course and in the classroom. The USTFCCCA released the All-Academic Athletes and Teams on Thursday, and four Warrior men and seven Warrior women earned the distinction. Both teams were recognized as All-Academic Teams.

Don Heroff Named Law Enforcement Officer of the Year

PULLMAN – Officer Don Heroff was awarded the 2019 Law Enforcement Officer of the Year at a Pullman Police Department ceremony yesterday, January 29. Don has been an officer with the Pullman Police Department since April 1999 and is one of the most senior officers in the department. Over the years, and most particularly in the last several, the department has relied on Officer Heroff’s leadership, both informally and when filling in as an Officer in Charge (acting sergeant).

Fatal Crashes Involving Marijuana Climb After Legalization

REPORT FROM AAA New research by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety indicates that five years after Washington State legalized the recreational use of marijuana, the number of THC-positive drivers involved in fatal crashes is alarmingly high – more than double the percentage of drivers before legalization.  THC is the main psychoactive component in cannabis, and the detection of THC is suggestive of recent or frequent use.
