SCOTLAND - In this National Geographic video, a camera is placed on the back of a Sea Eagle, granting us a true "bird's eye view", of some of the beautiful cliffs on the coast of Scotland. In the video, the eagle, named Marra, is a captive eagle living in Britain. Once in the air, she flies to and fro, darting between the cliffs off of Scotland's Orkney Islands.

Federal agencies increase Boise River flows for irrigation season

BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will gradually increase Boise River flows through the City of Boise from approximately 250 to 500 cubic feet per second (CFS), beginning April 7 through April 15, to meet initial irrigation diversions.

Commission to consider 2021-23 hunting seasons, hatchery policy, hydraulic code rules

OLYMPIA – The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission will make decisions on a number of topics at its April 9 virtual meeting, including setting hunting seasons for 2021-23, adopting an updated hatchery policy, establishing new rules to govern certain mining in state waters, and considering a petition to repeal restrictions on fishing from a floating vessel on a stretch of the Hoh River.

EDMONTON, CANADA - Canadian Police have placed barricades and tarps over Grace Life Church in Edmonton Canada as of Wednesday morning. The goal is to prevent worshippers from accessing the building. 

Former FBI Employee Sentenced for Receiving Bribes and Tax Fraud

POCATELLO – Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) official James Heslep, 52, of Gainesville, Virginia, was sentenced to 39 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for receiving a bribe by a public official, Acting U.S. Attorney Rafael M. Gonzalez, Jr. announced today. Heslep was also sentenced to 36 months in federal prison followed by one year of supervised release for making and subscribing to a false federal income tax return. The sentences will run concurrently. U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Heslep to forfeit $128,128 and pay $15,353 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service. In the related case, Robert Bailey, 63, of Centreville, Virginia, pleaded guilty to paying a bribe to a public official. Bailey’s sentencing is set for May 5, 2021.

Texas joins growing list of states to ban 'vaccine passports'

(The Center Square) – Texas is the latest U.S. state to ban "vaccine passport" requirements.

Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order Tuesday prohibiting state and local governments and agencies from implementing such requirements. The order prohibits the state from refusing service to individuals based on their vaccination status, as well as any organization receiving public funds from requiring consumers to provide documentation of vaccine status in order to receive any service or enter any place, according to the order.
