OLYMPIA, WA - The Washington Traffic Safety Commission today released a report that shows there has been a significant increase of multiple drug (alcohol and other intoxicants), or poly-drug use, in drivers involved in deadly crashes.  Driver impairment is the most common factor in deadly crashes in Washington, present in more than half of all traffic deaths in 2016.

LCSC Production of “The Secret in the Wings”

LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis-Clark State College theater production of “The Secret in the Wings” will be held at the LCSC Silverthorne Theatre beginning Wednesday through Saturday. All performances will start at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by LCSC Theatre Instructor Jef Petersen in collaboration with students from his directing class, the play begins with a child and the frightening babysitter she is left with by her parents. As the babysitter reads from a book, the characters in each of the tales materialize.

BOISE, ID - The Idaho State Tax Commission has information for anyone needing to file an extension for their 2017 Idaho income tax return.

From the ISTC:
You may be able to get an automatic, six-month extension if you pay enough of your total tax.
To qualify, you need to pay:
 
An estimated 80 percent of the tax you owe for 2017, or 100 percent of the total tax reported on your 2016 income tax return

LCSC Students Won Idaho State SkillsUSA competitions

LEWISTON, ID - Two Lewis-Clark State College students in the Technical and Industrial Division have recently won Idaho State SkillsUSA competitions.

From LCSC:
Javier (Alex) Diaz, of Riggins, Idaho, and Anthony (Tony) Smith of Priest River claimed state titles and will be representing LCSC at SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Competition during June 25-29. Only the state winners in each event qualify for nationals.
