Matt Bell Reads at U of I

MOSCOW, Idaho – April 2, 2015 – Award-winning writer Matt Bell will visit the University of Idaho as part of UI’s Distinguished Visiting Writers Series. His reading will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the UI Law School Courtroom. This event is free and open to the public. Following the reading will be a question and answer session, as well as a book signing by Bell.

Hellsgate Montana

Long time Lewiston guy and sci-fi author Al Halsey has a new book, Hellgate, Montana, recently released by Permuted Press of Nashville. It is the first of his paranormal western series. He is also the author of the Mists of Miskatonic. Halsey will be signing books at Hastings in Lewiston Saturday, April 11 from 3pm-5pm.

LEWISTON, Ida. (April 1) —The American Red Cross encourages eligible blood donors to make a difference in the lives of patients this spring by giving blood.

Haueter Update

It has been over a week since Clearwater County Sheriff's department reported that 57 year old Russell Haueter of Greer died of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound near the View Point of Dworshak Dam.  Idaho State Police are handling the investigation. Captain Lonnie Richardson says the state police investigation has, "revealed nothing different," from what the sheriff's department originally reported.

Lewiston Transportation Advisory Commission

Meeting Tonight at 5:15PM

Lewiston's Transportation Advisory Commission will meet tonight at 5:15 in the upstairs conference room of the Bell building,215 D street. The commission makes recommendations to the city council concerning long-range transportation issues. They advise on traffic patterns within the city, modes of transportation, school traffic zones among other things.
