Haueter Update

It has been over a week since Clearwater County Sheriff's department reported that 57 year old Russell Haueter of Greer died of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound near the View Point of Dworshak Dam.  Idaho State Police are handling the investigation. Captain Lonnie Richardson says the state police investigation has, "revealed nothing different," from what the sheriff's department originally reported.

Lewiston Transportation Advisory Commission

Meeting Tonight at 5:15PM

Lewiston's Transportation Advisory Commission will meet tonight at 5:15 in the upstairs conference room of the Bell building,215 D street. The commission makes recommendations to the city council concerning long-range transportation issues. They advise on traffic patterns within the city, modes of transportation, school traffic zones among other things.

Clean Beaches for All

A couple years back Jim Hunt and other members of River Access for Tomorrow pulled out over a ton of garbage from Snake River beaches on only a six mile stretch of the river between Heller's Bar and Cayoose Creek. Last Summer he and around 15 other people, including Asotin County Sheriff John Hilderbrand, formed the Snake River Task Force to figure out ways to keep the beaches clean.
