Sheriff Withholds Tax Money From Transportation Dept.

LEWISTON, ID – Nez Perce County Sheriff Joe Rodriguez is taking a stand against the Transportation Department’s actions that caused problems all over the state.  Rodriguez is withholding the tax money Nez Perce County citizens would be paying for the new Driver’s License system that has been unreliable.  

Asotin County Library Opening Delayed

CLARKSTON, WA – The planned re-opening of the Asotin County Library has been delayed again.  It was going to re-open today after a delay of a week already.  Now a press release from the library says it will open its doors by the end of the week.  The construction company doing the work will spend the next few days working on various aspects of the project including finishing two staircases that access the mezzanine. 

Grelle Avenue Closure

20th St. to 21st St.

LEWISTON, ID – Part of Grelle Avenue is closed.  The street in the Lewiston Orchards is closed for about three weeks starting today, according to a press release from the city of Lewiston.  The impacted area is between 20th Street and 21st Street.

Red Wolf Bridge Completely Closed

CLARKSTON , WA – The Red Wolf Bridge is completely closed today.  Starting at midnight, traffic was closed off across the bridge.  It will stay that way until Monday morning.  The only other option locally to cross the Snake River to the north is the Memorial Bridge in Lewiston. 

New Exhibit Opens Today At Arts & History Center

LEWISTON, ID – The LC Center for Arts & History is hosting a new exhibit starting today.  The exhibit celebrates the College’s 125th anniversary.  Organizers say it examines the relationship the college has fostered with the community throughout its history.  “It highlights the various roles community members have played in support of LCSC, through patronage, support of athletic and artistic events, scholarships for students, and political support during tumultuous state funding cycles.”
