As our nation continues to respond to COVID-19, there is no better time to be involved in Preparedness Month. KAMIAH, Idaho (September 16, 2020) – Smoke from fires burning near the West Coast and locally continues to impact air quality on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests and across north-central Idaho. The National Weather Service predicts that cooler weather and possible precipitation could improve air quality this weekend. Until then, fire danger remains Very High on the forest, and air quality is poor. Visit to see smoke conditions and air quality reports where you are.

Emergency Exercise at Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport

PULLMAN – The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport (PUW) is required by the FAA to conduct regular emergency exercises to ensure response readiness for emergencies. An emergency exercise involving airport, airline, police, and fire/EMT personnel will be conducted on Thursday, September 17, between 10:00am and 1:00pm. This exercise will allow first responders, airport and airline staff to react to a simulated incident at PUW. The goal is to enhance local emergency response readiness and to maintain interoperability between the airport, Alaska Airlines, first responders, and federal agencies.

A black Steve Madden wallet was found in a shopping cart at the Clarkston Walmart this morning. It had the owners identification in it, if you lost your wallet call or visit Walmart customer service to claim. 

Former ITT Tech Students to get $330 Million in National Debt Relief Settlement

Attorney General Lawrence Wasden has secured an agreement to obtain $2 million in debt relief for approximately 300 former ITT Tech students in Idaho as part of a settlement with 48 attorneys general and the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Coho Salmon are on their Way!

Idaho’s Fish and Game Commission met today (September 15, 2020) to set seasons and limits for Coho Salmon.  They approved the proposal presented to them by IDFG fisheries staff which means you can start fishing for Coho Salmon today in certain river reaches.  The Coho Salmon are just starting to get to Idaho, so it may take a couple weeks before you chances of catching one become reasonable.

In addition to gaining experience using Google’s job search functions, the participants will learn how to organize and enhance their job search using G Suite tools.
