The Warriors hit 15 3s, led by four from Trystan Bradley. The junior led the team with 20 points while Damek Mitchell finished the contest one rebound shy of a triple-double.

Federal Judge Rejects Midas Gold’s Attempt to Delay Nez Perce Tribe’s Clean Water Act Lawsuit

Lapwai, ID – Today, Judge Winmill denied defendant Midas Gold Corporation’s (“Midas Gold”) motion to stay the Nez Perce Tribe (“Tribe”)’s Clean Water Act lawsuit against the company. In his denial, Judge Winmill rejected Midas Gold’s attempt to delay the lawsuit, stating that “the Tribe has presented evidence that there will be real, tangible harm if the discharge of pollutants continues.” The Tribe initiated litigation against Midas Gold for illegally discharging arsenic, cyanide, mercury, and other harmful pollutants at its proposed Stibnite Gold mine site.

The search for a missing skier continues today, Thursday, January 9th, at Silver Mountain with 120 search and rescue responders participating in the operation. With a short break in the weather, 2 Bear Air, a search and rescue aviation support team out of Whitefish Montana, is assisting in the search utilizing special equipment, that, if successful, will significantly minimize the search area on Wardner Peak.

Evening Traffic Stop on Wawawai Road Leads Deputies to Guns, Drugs, Cash and Lands Two in Jail

Around 5pm on Wednesday afternoon deputies conducted a traffic stop near Wawawai County Park for a standard traffic violation.  During the questioning of the driver, identified as 32yoa Melissa Estep of Kennewick WA, the deputy noted several inconsistencies with the information she was providing. 

Commerce Awards Over $12 Million to Add Facilities for Behavioral Health Care Statewide

OLYMPIA, WA – The Washington State Department of Commerce today announced $12.4 million in grants to 10 successful applicants from across Washington to serve people with a wide variety of behavioral health issues. The funds will help create 150 additional beds, including local community alternative places to stay for people leaving Eastern and Western State Hospitals.
