Man Believed To Be Driving During Accident Found Safe

WHITMAN COUNTY, WA – The man believed to be driving a car involved in an accident on the north side of the Snake River was found safe.  Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies say they don’t have much information on what happened, but they believe Clarkston resident Jeremy McKamey was driving a car on the highway west of Clarkston when he lost control, spun the vehicle several times, and ended up in the ditch.

ASOTIN, WA – Fireworks could be to blame for a blaze south of Asotin Sunday.  About 7:00 pm, Asotin County & Asotin City firefighters rushed to a location about 4 miles south of Asotin that was burning.  Firefighters contained it before it could get out of hand. 

$3 Million Donation To LCSC CTE Building Fund

LEWISTON, ID – SEL and Ed & Beatriz Schweitzer made large contributions to the CTE Building fund at LCSC.  The Career & Technical Education Center will allow more students to comfortably attend vocational courses once it’s built.  SEL is donating $2 million and the Schweitzers themselves are donating another $1 million. 

Fatal ATV Accident

ELK RIVER, ID – A Clarkston and a Juliaetta man died Friday night from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.  It happened on Basin Road near Elk River.  22 year old Brock A. Daughtery of Clarkston and 21 year old Blake R. Braun of Juliaetta were both found dead when Clearwater County Deputies arrived on the scene. 

Bryden Canyon Fire

LEWISTON, ID - Lewiston Firefighters just finished extinguishing a grass fire.  It started at the top of Bryden Canyon along the bike path.  Firefighters hit the fire from both the top and the bottom of the hillside.  They had it put out within a few minutes of arrival.
