Are you hungry for bluegrass Music? Well you can have your fill of mandolin, dobro and fiddle sounds this Saturday, April 4th on the Valley Blusegrass Stage at Clarkston High School. Five area bands will start the Jam at 7pm,, but come early as this event draws a big crowd.

Were you aware Lewiston has the most Champion Trees in the state, including an English oak at the rose, a silk and a catalpa among others?  In case you were not aware a Champion Tree is the largest in the state.  Were you aware Lewiston's first downtown merchants planted poplar trees as a way to provide shade so people would actually come downtown to shop.  Riley Stark is aware of these things and more things about trees.  Are you aware Riley Stark is Lewiston's first full time Urban Forester?

Matt Ambrose grew up in Pomeroy and ever since he has been a farm kid on an adventure. That is him at the other end of the stick with the rattlesnake on it. This is also a love story, he met his wife Lisa on that Pomeroy farm when they were both fifteen years old and they have been together since.

Benjamin F. Phares Shot at Wrangler

No Arrests Yet; Possible Self Defense

The Lewiston police have released the name of the man shot last night during an altercation at the Wrangler Bar. 49 year old Benjamin F. Phares JR. of Lewiston underwent surgery at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center and is listed in serious condition. A video taken inside the bar shows three shots being fired at Phares. According to the police on the scene Phares was suffering from, "at least one gunshot wound to the stomach or chest area."

Asotin High Speed Chase Ends In Arrest

35 year old Shaun M. Hollace of Clarkston, was taken into custody and charged with a warrant of failing to appear for driving while license suspended 3rddriving while license suspended 3rd and attempt to elude felony after leading Clarkston Police and Asotin County Sheriff's officers on a high speed chase through the CLarkston Heights.  No one was injured in the event.
