LEWISTON, ID – Foster and adopted kids need your help.  The Homes of Hope Capes-N-Crowns fun run is this weekend.  It’s a 5K fun run or a 1 mile walk.  Homes of Hope is a non-profit organization that supports foster and adopted children in the neighboring 8 counties.

ASOTIN, WA – Asotin Police say celebrating with fireworks is “as American as apple pie, but knowledge of the law is paramount to a safe display.”  That’s why they want to remind people that just because you can buy fireworks legally in some areas, that doesn’t mean they’re legal to set off in other areas. 

ID Unemployment Steady

Lewiston, 2nd Best Growth In State Compared To Last year

LEWISTON, ID – Idaho’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate is steady at 2.9%.  May’s numbers continue a 9-month streak of 3% or lower.  The state’s labor force increased last month, gaining 1,222 people.  That brings the state’s workforce to 850,605 people.  Compared to last year, nonfarm jobs grew by 3.1%, the second-fastest percentage growth in the nation. 

Lewiston Road Work Planned

Closures Start Monday

LEWISTON, ID – Lewiston Public Works has some closures planned for road work.  Their hot mix overlay projects require the streets to be closed.  17th Street between 21st Avenue and Stewart Avenue will be closed this coming Monday and Tuesday, June 18th and 19th, then again June 28th and 29th.

Body Found In Selway River

Man Missing From May 21st Accident

IDAHO COUNTY, ID – The body of a man missing since May 21st was pulled from the Selway River Tuesday.  Reece Rollins of Terrebone, OR was in an accident with 5 other people.  Only 2 are known to have survived.
