Idaho State Police Troopers are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a Pullman man hospitalized with serious injuries. As troopers work to piece together what led to the crash, they're asking for the public's help.

What Happened: Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash Saturday May 9, 2020 at 5:07pm on State Highway 3 near milepost 4 in Latah County. They found the driver of a motorcycle had been traveling southbound when he left the roadway. The motorcycle went into a ditch and the driver was thrown. At this time, the driver, a 51 year old man from Pullman is hospitalized in Lewiston. He was wearing a helmet.

As investigating troopers continue to collect evidence, they're asking anyone who may have information on what led to the crash to contact Idaho State Police District 2 office in Lewiston at (208) 750-9300.

Lapwai, Idaho- On the evening of May 18, 2020, Nez Perce Tribal Police Department (NPTPD) officers were dispatched to respond to reports of a potential overdose situation. Upon arrival, officers discovered two unconscious individuals. One of the individuals was not breathing and did not have a pulse. The other individual had labored breathing and at times would gasp for air. Narcan, a nasal spray that can help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, including respiratory depression, was provided to both individuals.  They were revived and transported to a local medical facility.

Lewiston, Idaho- The Clearwater River Casino & Lodge (Casino) ceased operations on March 18, 2020 as a safety precaution in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, staff have been working diligently to prepare to welcome back customers to the gaming floor by completely sanitizing the facility and initiating new safety measures.  Collective mitigation efforts in this region appear to have minimized the threat of COVID-19 in the community as there has been a decline in COVID-19 cases. In addition, the Casino has met all of the recommended standards set forth by Nimiipuu Health and the Nez Perce Tribal Emergency Operations Command Center to safely reopen.  As a result, the Casino will be reopening on Friday, May 22, 2020.

OLYMPIA – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) invites the public to submit written comment on a proposed target shooting rule update by June 10.

The proposed rule update defines recreational target shooting, identifies when and where target shooting is allowed or prohibited, and describes allowable and prohibited targets for use on WDFW-managed lands.
