As the 2020-2021 school year approaches, Lewiston Independent School District No. 1 has developed a plan for schools to open and continue the education of the students while keeping safety at the forefront. At this time they are planning a traditional opening on August 26, 2020. While a traditional opening means all students are attending face-to-face, they will also be adhering to CDC guidelines for the safety of all stakeholders.

U of I Research Dairy Project Launch Meeting Draws Contractors and Cooperators

The Idaho Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment – or CAFE – took a major step forward this spring with the launch of design and planning for a $22.5 million research dairy near Rupert. The dairy is scheduled for completion in 2023 and to begin milking cows by 2024.

Update on Hwy-12/US-95 Roadwork - Expect Travel Delays Until August 7, 2020

The roadwork on Hwy-12 and US-95 between Arrow and Lewiston will take place until August 7th, 2020 at approximately 6:30pm. A seal coat treatment is being applied and the roadway is reduced down to one lane. Contractors will be working Monday - Friday from 7:30am-6:30pm. However, they will be working on the US-95/US-12 Spalding Bridge on Sunday, August 2nd from 6:00am - 3:00pm. During their working hours expect travel delays anywhere from 10-30 minutes. 35 mph speed zones and loose gravel on the roadways.

Many players are remembered for their athletic accomplishment after standout careers in Lewiston. Kyle Knigge, a Lewiston native, found success both in the classroom and on the field, and went on to make his mark after his time as a Warrior was complete. He used his LC State baseball career as leverage to make it in the highly competitive field of physical therapy.
