DEARY, ID – A man died Thursday of his injuries from an accident four days earlier. Idaho State Police Troopers responded on the 17th to a crash just west of Deary. Moscow resident Wyatt Yager was headed westbound on Highway 8, west of Deary, when he went into the oncoming lane, overcorrected, and went off the right side of the road.
1 Airlifted To The Hospital
LEWISTON, ID – One man was airlifted to the hospital this weekend when an ATV rolled over. Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Deputies say they believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. It happened Saturday at about 9:30pm on the Idaho side of the Snake River almost a mile past Heller Bar.
More than 7,000 Acres
VANTAGE, WA – Firefighters reached 100% containment on the Milepost 22 fire yesterday. The final size is estimated at more than 7,200 acres burned. Crews are still mopping up the scene north and west of Vantage.
LEWISTON, ID – The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the area today and tonight. From central Washington to the Idaho mountains we’ll see dry and windy conditions.
Vehicle Crashed Into Store
MCCALL, ID – A McCall woman died yesterday when she crashed her vehicle into a store. Just before 11:00 last night Cherie Crandall was headed northbound on Highway 55 near Lenora St. She drifted across the road and drove onto the sidewalk.
LAPWAI, ID – An early morning high-speed chase ends with the driver in jail. Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Deputies say at about 2:30 yesterday morning one of them tried to pull over Lapwai resident Sam Pablo. He was driving a vehicle at a high rate of speed on Lapwai Rd. He then ran from police down Soldiers Grade and into Lapwai.

CLARKSTON, WA – If you’re looking for a way to cool off today, Chestnut Beach in Clarkston is probably not a good one. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advises against swimming and drinking the river water near the popular beach. Routine testing this week shows elevated levels of fecal coliforms.

MYRTLE, ID - Idaho State Police Officers have Highway 12 closed at milepost 19 and Rubens Gifford Rd. A press statement says they're investigating a crash. There is no estimated time on when it will re-open.

VANTAGE, WA – Firefighters for the Washington Department of Natural Resources were out fighting 37 fires across the state yesterday. Many were started by lightning strikes. The Columbia Gorge Forest Service passed this photo along from someone enjoying the storm.
CLARKSTON, WA - The Asotin County Sheriff's Office has released a sketch of the man they say robbed the credit union Monday afternoon. They also have a description of what could be his vehicle.

WEIPPE, ID - Trapper has been lost for about a week now. He was last seen about 5 miles southeast of Weippe at Lacey Meadows Road at Black Wolf Lane. He's a 6 year old German Wirehair Pointer. He's about 65lbs. He is black and gray with a cropped tail.

Wanted For Allegedly Killing His Girlfriend
SPOKANE, WA – A Washington State Patrol trooper arrested a New York murder suspect. June 16th at 8:30 pm, Idaho State Police informed WSP troopers that the suspect was headed westbound on I-90 across the state line.
CLARKSTON, WA – Washington State Patrol cars have been hit 86 times in the last three years. 32 troopers have been hurt in the process. This weekend troopers will be conducting a statewide “Slow Down, Move Over” emphasis patrol.
