LEWISTON, ID – The National Weather Service is sending out a warning for an Excessive Heat Watch. It covers most of Central Washington through Northern Idaho. Starting Wednesday, temperatures in the LC Valley and Lapwai will be well above 100 degrees through Friday.

Lumber mill seeking to fill a full-time heavy equipment operator position in the log yard. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years of heavy equipment experience and must complete powered industrial safety training. Knowledge of log species and the ability to identify log species is required. Preference will be given to applicants with previous mill experience. Excellent wage and benefit package. United Way ALICE Report
LEWISTON, ID – One in three homes in local counties is one unexpected expense away from financial distress. A new report from the United Way shows that more than 9,800 households in Asotin and Nez Perce counties struggle to make ends meet.
Eluded Deputy Weeks Ago, Tried To Run Yesterday
LEWISTON, ID – A Nez Perce County Deputy captured the same rider who ran from him in mid-July. On July 12th, a motorcycle rider ran from the deputy during a traffic stop. Because of high traffic, the deputy didn’t want to endanger the public, so he didn’t pursue the rider. Yesterday, an unnamed Lewiston citizen helped take down the alleged criminal.
