Clarkston, WA--Molly Williams, a graduating senior at Clarkston High School, has been named a Career and Technical Education candidate as part of the 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The Career and Technical Education candidates were nominated by their Chief State School Officers based on their accomplishments in career and technical education fields.

Commerce awards $3.7 million for solar installations benefitting low-income communities

The Washington State Department of Commerce today announced $3.7 million in grants for nine solar energy projects across the state. The projects will result in a total $6.1 million reduction in the energy burden of low-income households and nonprofits serving low-income communities over 25 years.

SPOKANE, WA -  Feb. 25, 2021: Avista is performing upgrades to their transmission infrastructure between Orofino and Greer. Approximately 748 Avista and 665 Clearwater Power customers in Orofino, Greer, Weippe, Pierce, Fraser and the surrounding area will experience an outage starting at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. on March. 6. Customers who will be impacted by the outage will be notified.

LEWISTON, ID - Educational Support Personnel, or ESP, are critical to the ultimate success of student learning.  ESP are not certified teachers, but are staff members who provide an important and necessary support function toward the education of our students.  The ESP of the Year Award serves to recognize the important work that our support staff perform to help our students achieve.  These staff members are custodians, food service workers, bus drivers, instructional assistants, maintenance workers, IT and office staff, etc.
