4th of July Slow For Firefighters & Medics

***UPDATE*** The Clarkston Fire Department also sent a crew to assist Whitman County with the fire that is burning west of the LC Valley at Nisqually John.

LEWISTON, ID – Firefighters say it was a fairly slow 4th of July. There were two small fires in Lewiston, one response to a smoke detector going off that turned out to be a false alarm, and 16 medical calls.

LEWISTON, ID – Put it on your calendar.  The 7th Annual Special Olympics Summer Show and Shine is coming July 28th.  The theme this year is “Where Athlete Power Meets Horsepower”.  You’re invited to bring your car, truck, motorcycle, or anything with an engine and wheels that can be judged for prizes. 

City Well Failing

LEWISTON, ID – One of Lewiston’s water wells is failing.  Well number three is located at Normal Hill Cemetery.  It’s used only to irrigate the cemetery.  While the city repairs it, temporary irrigation restrictions at the site may be necessary.

Highway 12 Road Work

Tumble Creek To Montana Border

OROFINO, ID – If your summer travels take you east on Highway 12, be ready for a longer trip.  50 miles of the highway between Tumble Creek and the Montana border are slated for road work.  Tumble Creek is east of Kooskia.  The work starts Monday, July 9th.
