New Child Support Payment Option

OLYMPIA, WA – Washington State has come up with a new way to collect child support payments.  The Department of Social and Health Services now has an agreement with the service “PayNearMe”.  It gives people the chance to pay child support at 7-Elevens, Ace Cash Express, or Casey’s General Stores across the country.

Hwy 95 Accident Turns Fatal

LAPWAI, ID – A man who crashed his vehicle in April has died from his injuries.  April 8th, Kenneth W Simmons was travelling southbound on Highway 95 near Lapwai when he left the roadway and hit several trees.  He was not wearing a seatbelt.

CLARKSTON, WA  – A fire investigator confirmed that Sunday’s fire in Clarkston started in the garage.  The investigator still can’t confirm if it was a vehicle fire that caught the garage on fire or if the fire in the garage also damaged the vehicle.

LEWISTON, ID – You’ve probably noticed the price going up at the pump.  AAA representatives say that’s because of a record-high demand for fuel in April.  They say the price has temporarily leveled off as inventories are recovering. 

Clearwater County 911 Not Working

***UPDATE***  Service should now be fully restored. The Sheriff's Office says there's no word from Frontier on what caused the outage.

CLEARWATER COUNTY, ID - From the Sheriff's Office:  911 is currently not working due to an issue with Frontier. Local landlines can call the Sheriff's Office at 208-476-4521 but cellphones can not. Local fire stations are currently being staffed so if you have an emergency and can not call the Sheriff's Office go to your local fire station. At this time it is unknown when service will be restored.
