LPD Looking For Stolen Property

LEWISTON, ID – If you know who owns this pickup, Lewiston Police Detectives would like to have a word with him.  The LPD is asking for help identifying the person responsible in the theft of two propane tanks.  It happened in the 1000 block of 9th Avenue on November 22nd just after 1:00 am.

***UPDATE*** An LPD Lieutenant says Autumn returned home safely to her family last night.

LEWISTON, ID – You’ve probably seen a missing person’s report circulating through facebook about a local girl named Autumn Ayres.  The Lewiston Police Department says she is considered a runaway juvenile.  A Lieutenant says they don’t believe she’s in any danger, she has just run away from home.  Officers have been following up on the leads they’ve been given, but haven’t found her yet.

LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston Library is near to hiring a new Director.  They have narrowed it down to three candidates.  One is the Librarian for the Mountain View School District in the Grangeville area, one is from the Treasure Valley and has worked in and visited libraries all over the world while her husband moved around in the U.S. Army, and the other is the Library Director at Lincoln Library in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

BOISE, ID – Governor “Butch” Otter lit the Christmas Tree in front of the state Capitol yesterday.  Thousands of people turned out to watch the twinkle lights come on.  The Governor and Mrs. Otter celebrated afterward by handing out books, hot apple cider, and treats to kids who attended.

WA DNR Hiring Temporary Firefighters

550 Jobs Open Next Year

OLYMPIA, WA – This year was one of the busiest for wildland firefighters.  The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is already hiring for next year.  Many of their firefighters responded locally to the Nisqually John Fire just downriver from Chief Timothy Park.  During the fire, they stayed in tents at the school in Colton.
