LEWISTON, ID – The studs come off on Monday.  The Idaho Transportation Department is reminding drivers to get your studded tires off by Monday.  In Washington, the deadline was the 15th, and in Montana, it ‘s May 31st.  Wyoming allows studded tires all year.

CANYON COUNTY, ID – A routine traffic stop for an Idaho State Police trooper turns into a major drug bust.  At noon on Wednesday, troopers arrested Dakota Thorstenson of Duluth, Minnesota as he passed through Canyon County.

WAHA, ID – If you’re going hunting in the Waha area any time soon, watch what you’re shooting.  The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team is doing a mock search.  It’s going to be May 6th near Soldier’s Meadow Road and the east end of Deer Creek Road. 

LPD Responds to Animals in Hot Cars

LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston Police Department has been called already this spring to reports of animals in cars in parking lots.  It’s starting to get hot and the inside of a car can be much warmer than the outside temperature.  LPD Animal Control Officer Doug Willey says now it happens more often now than it does later in the summer.
