California Man Sentenced for Possessing Sawed-Off Shotgun

BOISE B Patrick Michael McHenry, 28, of Sacramento, California, was sentenced in U.S.
District Court to 36 months in prison for possession of an unregistered firearm, U.S. Attorney
Bart M. Davis announced today. U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered McHenry to
serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence. McHenry pleaded guilty to
the charge on September 18, 2019.

U of I Theatre Arts Offers Scholarships to High School Seniors

MOSCOW, Idaho — May 12, 2020 — The University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts is calling high school seniors with an interest in theatre to create a short video for a chance to win one of two $1,000 scholarships for Fall 2020.

Students with an interest in acting, design, stage management, directing and writing are encouraged to apply by submitting a 2-to 3-minute video showcasing their talent and passion for theatre.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), offered his condolences to the family of Idaho State Representative Thyra Stevenson upon learning of her passing earlier today:

"Vicki and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rep. Thyra Stevenson this morning," said Risch. "Thyra was a dedicated public servant for Nez Perce and Lewis Counties, and a great legislator and friend in the Idaho State House. Thyra's leadership will be greatly missed in the State of Idaho, and my prayers are with the Stevenson family during this difficult time."
