Rollover Crash Near Jacques Spur Sends Two to the Hospital, Semi Crashes Into ISP Car at Initial Scene

CULDESAC,  ID - Rescue personnel responded to milepost 292 west of Culdesac at 12:18 p.m. for a rollover crash.  According to the Idaho State Police, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by a 15-year-old Kooskia juvenile drifted off the right side of the highway and struck a tree.  While the tow truck was recovering the pickup from the crash, a semi driver lost control as he approached the scene where an Idaho State Police Trooper's patrol vehicle was blocking the northbound lane.  The semi struck the vehicle and rolled onto its side in the ditch.

Benefit Set For March For Asotin County Deputy's Wife Who is Battling Cancer

ASOTIN, WA - A benefit will be held next month for the wife of Asotin County Sheriff's Sgt. Destry Jackson, a veteran of the office for 15 years. Arleen Jackson is battling pancreatic cancer and is paying out-of-pocket for costs not covered by her medical insurance including her treatments and medications.

Three Weippe Residents Transported to Hospital After Crash on State Highway 11

CLEARWATER COUNTY, ID - Deputies from the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office responded to a single car crash on State Highway 11 near milepost 3. Officials say 62-year-old David Carrico of Weippe was driving southbound in a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier when he drifted off the left side of the highway at 9:44 a.m. this morning.

AG Ferguson Pledges Lawsuit if Federal Offshore Drilling Plan Includes Washington

OLYMPIA, WA – Washington's Attorney General pledges to take legal action if Washington is not removed from the federal proposal that would allow oil and gas drilling, including off the Washington coast.  Bob Ferguson sent a letter today to Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to oppose the current plan and ask that Washington be exempted.

COLFAX, WA - A 19-year-old Spokane woman was arrested after Whitman County Sheriff's Deputies stopped her vehicle for a headlamp violation on US 195.  Officials detected the smell of marijuana right after pulling Jacey Hirschberger over as she traveled near the rest area.

Legislation Could Ban High-Risk Sex Offenders From Washington's College Campuses

OLYMPIA, WA - A committee in the Washington State House of Representatives could decide whether high-risk sex offenders taking college courses can stay on community college campuses alongside students participating in the Running Start program.  Representative Joyce McDonald (R-Puyallup) proposed a bill that would protect minor-age community college students from Level Three sex offenders. 

Pomeroy Man Allegedly Threatens to Shoot WWCC-Clarkston Teacher & Blow Up School With Grenade

CLARKSTON, WA - A 56-year-old Pomeroy man who threatened to shoot a teacher at the Clarkston branch of Walla Walla Community College and blow the school up with a grenade was arrested yesterday while at Pomeroy Junior-Senior High School.  David Manring was charged with Harassment-Threats to Kill and Threats to Bomb or Injure Property.  Bond was set at $100,000.
