Crews to Replace Culvert on ID Highway 14 August 25th

GRANGEVILLE, ID - The Idaho Department of Transportation says crews will be replacing an existing culvert with a bottomless arch pipe on Idaho Highway 14 about 25 miles southeast of Grangeville beginning Friday. This work is expected to be completed by early October.

From the ITD:
The culvert will get replaced by an 83-foot-long bottomless arch pipe. Approximately a half-foot of asphalt will be applied over the top to match the roadway's surface.

BOISE, ID - The Idaho Public Utilities Commission has scheduled workshops in Lewiston on Wednesday, August 30th and Coeur d'Alene on Thursday, August 31st, regarding Avista's proposed rate increases for electric and natural gas service.

This workshop will provide customers with a summary of Avista’s application and information about how the Commission generally evaluates and decides a case.

Lions Club Donates $500 Toward Purchase of New Prescription Drug Drop Box at PPD

PULLMAN, WA - The Pullman Lions Club has donated $500 toward the purchase of a new prescription drug drop box at the Pullman Police Department. The previous box lacked sufficient security to prevent unauthorized access, according to officials. The Lions Club donation made the purchase possible for a replacement drug drop box that features an anti-tamper element.

8th Annual LCSC Native American Alumni Chapter Golf Scramble is Aug. 26th

LEWISTON, ID - The 8th Annual Lewis-Clark State College Native American Alumni Chapter Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, August 26th, at the Bryden Canyon Golf Course. Registration for this event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start will follow at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $30 per person which includes lunch and a gift bag.

All proceeds from this event is used to provide scholarships for Native American students at LCSC.
