Idaho Falls Bandits Make History, Wins Idaho's First American Legion National Championship

IDAHO FALLS, ID - Well, Idaho it finally happened, the gem state has an American Legion national champion. 

The Idaho Falls Bandits knocked off Fargo, North Dakota Wednesday 5-3 to win the state of Idaho's first American Legion World Series. The Bandits had the hottest hand throughout the tournament, they posted a 5-0 record at the tournament and finished its regular season with a record of 61-6. 

LCSC kicks off fall semester with two new division chairs

LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College has two new division chairs to start the 2019 fall semester.

Heather Moon takes over as chair of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics Division from Heather Henson-Ramsey, who accepted a dean’s position at Tusculum University in Tennessee, while Susan Steele is now the interim chair for the Movement & Sports Sciences Division. She replaced Heather Van Mullem, who is still teaching at LC State while going to law school.

Rigby Man Sentenced to 25 years In Prison For Producing Child Pornography

POCATELLO,ID  – Joseph Lavern Harris, 32, of Rigby, Idaho, was sentenced yesterday in U.S. District Court to 300 months in prison, for sexual exploitation of a minor child, U.S. Attorney Bart M. Davis announced.  U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ordered that Harris serve a lifetime of supervised release, following his prison sentence.  Harris pleaded guilty on March 26, 2019.

Lewiston High School Seniors Set to Serve with Twin County United Way

LEWISTON – Area students are heading back to school.  And, like last year, this year’s school year kicks off with Twin County United Way and Lewiston High School (LHS) partnering to get local students excited about volunteering.  Today is the sixth annual Twin County United Way Student Day of Caring, a day for students to engage in brief, but meaningful volunteer service projects.
