Whitman County Sheriff's Office Offers Boater Education Course

PULLMAN, WA - On September 10 and 11 - the Whitman County Sheriff's Office will offer the last free mandatory boater education course in 2019 for Washington boaters. This seven hour course will provide boaters the basics of safe boating that all recreational boaters should know. This course was developed specifically for the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and is taught by Deputy John Giudice.

OLYMPIA – White-nose syndrome, an often-fatal disease of hibernating bats, has been confirmed for the first time in Washington east of the Cascade Range. Kittitas County is the fourth county in Washington affected by the disease or the causal fungus, joining King, Pierce, and Lewis counties.
