LEWISTON, ID – 93 People have died in Idaho so far in what law enforcement officers call the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer”.  The time period lasts from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend and is the most common time to die in a traffic accident.  As the end approaches, Police Officers, Deputies, and State Police Troopers are implementing the first-ever “No Refusal Weekend”.

CLARKSTON, WA – The soft opening of the Asotin County Library has been delayed.  It was originally scheduled for this coming Tuesday, but now it’s pushed back almost a week.  Monday, September 10th is the new opening day.

Emergency Driver's License Extension In Place

BOISE, ID - If your Idaho driver’s license is expired or about to expire and you can’t get a new one because offices are closed, you’re safe.  The Idaho Division of Motor Vehicles has implemented an immediate emergency extension for all Idaho drivers with expiring or expired driver’s licenses.  The extension lasts through October 31st

LEWISTON, ID – If you’re getting your Driver’s License today in Idaho, you’ll have to reschedule.  Local licensing offices are closed.  The Idaho Transportation Department says ongoing issues continue with a vendor who handles the processing. 

New Fire Station Work Begins

CLARKSTON, WA – Work is officially underway on the new fire station in the Clarkston Heights.  The Asotin County Fire District bought the church on Appleside Boulevard about 4 years ago with the intention of turning it into a new station. 

More Campfire Bans Lifted

LEWISTON, ID – You’ll be able to light a campfire locally at campgrounds in Idaho on Friday.  Yesterday, they announced the ending of the fire ban in Northern Idaho, and today they announced that much of North-Central Idaho is cancelling the ban as well.
