Fatal Accident Near Genesee

GENESEE, ID – A Lewiston man is dead after a rollover accident last night.  Idaho State Police Troopers say at about 11:33 pm, they investigated a crash on Highway 95, just south of the Genesee Junction.  21-year-old Tristan W. Shaffer was headed northbound when his pickup left the road on the right shoulder and rolled several times.

Detectives Still Looking For Robbery Suspect

CLARKSTON, WA – The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office says they’re still looking for the man who robbed the Lewis Clark Credit Union on 15th Street back in June.  Detective Jackie Nichols says they’ve gotten many tips, but none that have panned out.  They’re hoping someone will come forward with new information about the theft. 

Commission Decides Elected Salaries

ASOTIN, WA – Monday evening a commission in Asotin County will decide the salaries of elected county officials.  That includes the Sheriff, Commissioners, Assessor, Auditor, Clerk, Treasurer, and the portion the county pays for the Prosecutor.  The commission meets once a year. 

U of I Honors POW/MIA Day

MOSCOW, ID – More than 82,000 Americans are still missing in wars since WWII.  Tomorrow is National POW/MIA Recognition Day and the University of Idaho is observing it with a ceremony.  It starts at 4:00 pm and features a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for more than six years.
