Lewiston Official Arrested for Alleged "Excessive" DUI Following Minor Parking Lot Collision

LEWISTON, ID - A City of Lewiston official was arrested for Excessive DUI and Injury to a Child Tuesday evening after she allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of more than four times over the legal limit and struck another vehicle in a restaurant parking lot.

Clarkston Man Arrested Following Drug Task Force Investigation

CLARKSTON, WA - A 28-year-old Clarkston man was arrested on drug charges yesterday morning following a two-week investigation by the Quad Cities Drug Task Force.  Bren Goodnight was booked into the Asotin County Jail at 10:10 a.m. on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, Failure to Obey an Officer, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.

2008 Honda CR-V was Allegedly Taken From Clarkston Auto Sales Last Night

A 2008 Honda CR-V was allegedly taken from Clarkston Auto Sales last night.

"We have reported it stolen. The dealer plate was removed and recovered, if you have any information please contact the local police department," the business says.

One Person was Injured in a Two-Vehicle Collision

CLARKSTON, WA - One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 7:00 p.m. last night at the intersection of State Route 129 and Critchfield Road. According to the Washington State Patrol, 19-year-old Maryann Akin of Clarkston was eastbound on Critchfield in a 1989 Honda Accord when she failed to yield to a southbound 2006 Chevrolet Colorado pickup driven by 22-year-old Gunnar Hough of Clarkston.

Avista Announces Merger With Canadian Utility, Hydro One Limited

SPOKANE, WA - Avista Corporation today announced that it is merging with Hydro One Limited, creating a regulated electricity and natural gas business with over $25.4 billion in combined assets and more than two million retail and industrial customers.  Hydro One is paying $53 per share of Avista in a $5.3 billion all-cash transaction.

Chestnut Beach is Reopened After Water Tests Come Back Within Acceptable Levels

CLARKSTON, WA - New laboratory tests have come back indicating no high levels of fecal bacteria in water along the Chestnut Beach shoreline in Clarkston.  The Walla Walla District of the US Army Corps of Engineers has removed public advisories to not swim in or drink shoreline river water near the Chestnut Recreation Area.

Update on Craig Mountain Complex Fires

LEWISTON, ID - The Craig Mountain Complex continues to grow.  It includes the 16,876-acre Powerline Fire and the 1,782-acre Corral Creek Fire.  They remain 5% contained.  There are 406 personnel working on the fires which were started Saturday by lightning.

There will be a community meeting at 7:00 p.m. tonight in the Craigmont Fire and Emergency Services building, located at 116 North Division Street in Craigmont.
