IDAHO FALLS, ID - Lewiston was as advertised, they ran the ball well and played hard nose defense. The Bengals went down south and took down Idaho Falls 33-13.
The QB battle was between Kash Lang and Cruz Hepburn heading into this game, but both players contributed at the QB position. Lang got the start, but Hepburn saw his fair share of snaps under center. Lang finished the game four for six for 68 yards. Hepburn went three for four for 45 yards. However, their impact was felt more on the ground. Hepburn ran the ball 15 times for 87 yards, Lang added 13 carries for 43 yards. The run game was spectacular all around for the Bengals, they rallied 218 total rushing yards on the night. Michael Bramlett had ten carries for 63 yards and a pair of scores.
The defense didn't play around either, the front seven for the Bengals didn't allow a whole lot of running room for the Tigers. The secondary played solid as well, giving Idaho Falls quarterback Taggart Miller headaches all night.
The Bengals start off its season 1-0 with a lot of positive things to go off of during film on Monday.
